The organizers of MP2022, AIMPLAS and AINIA, promote for this new edition of the event the granting of TWO AWARDS of sectoral relevance.

The MP2022 AWARDS aim to recognize innovations focused on the development of BARRIER PACKAGING SOLUTIONS AND SUSTAINABILITY that have been developed by professionals and organizations for application in the food industry. These innovations may be applicable to any of the areas of the sector: materials, packaging, equipment, processes…

This first call for the awards raises two independent categories:

• Flexible packaging oriented solutions (FILMS)

• Solutions oriented to rigid packaging (TRAYS AND / OR BOTTLES)

At the discretion of the organizers of the event and in agreement with the organizations that have submitted their proposals, the possibility of showing the proposed solutions in a specific designated space in the stand area enabled at the venue of the event (Palacio de Congresos de Valencia) may be offered. The details of this space will be informed to the candidates once the deadline for submitting applications has closed and the interested parties are informed of the admission of their candidacies.

The MP2022 AWARDS are aimed at companies (material manufacturers, film manufacturers, sheets, preforms, packaging, packaging equipment, recycling systems, packaging systems …) that through their innovations are contributing to the development of the sector with sustainable solutions.

The entity that submits candidacy must have, at least, a representative who participates as an attendee of the event.

Admitted candidates may have designated space at the congress venue to exhibit a sample of their product or innovation. The manner and place in which this exhibition will be held will be informed to the candidates sufficiently in advance of the development of the event so that the necessary preparations can be adopted.

Special repercussion in the media may take place for those finalist candidacies and, especially, the two awarded candidacies.

Applications may be submitted until February 14, 2022.

The admission of applications will be communicated to applicants at the latest within a period of fifteen days after the end of the deadline for submitting applications.

The evaluation of applications will be carried out by an evaluation board constituted by a panel of 7 experts belonging to different organizations: scientific committee and organizer of the event, relevant experts from the business, institutional and scientific fields.

The evaluation of applications shall take into account the following criteria:

• First at all, verification of all the criteria required in the presentation of candidacy and the category to which it has been submitted. The organization reserves the right to request additional information, if required.

• Assessment according to the applicability of innovation.

• Assessment of the impact of the application.

• Assessment of the level of innovative and sustainable application.

On the candidates presented, 3 finalists will be designated for each category. The finalists will be informed, at least, 20 days before the date of the event so that they can confirm their attendance at the gala dinner where the winning candidacy will be communicated and the prize will be delivered.

The awards ceremony will be held during the MP2022 gala dinner, on the night of April 20, 2022.

The entities shortlisted as finalists will be informed in advance and a representative of their organization may participate as a guest at the gala dinner in order to receive the distinction from the organizers and / or sponsoring companies and, where appropriate, the prize awarded.

The two finalist candidates that are awarded will receive the recognition as such and will also be given invitations for 2 people from their organization for the next edition of the event.

The proposals must be made by those persons or institutions that hold them, who submit the proposal to the MP2022 awards (or whoever has their written authorization for it, who will act as a representative). Proposals must not infringe the rights of third parties, especially avoiding the infringement of industrial and/or intellectual property rights of third parties.

For this reason, the holder of the proposal and the representative, where appropriate, will be responsible for the legality of the proposal, exempting the Organization from any responsibilities that may arise from claims of third parties.The Organization reserves the right to withdraw, even as a preventive measure, any proposal submitted, without this implying any prejudgment of legality or derivation of responsibility to the Organization, unless, logically, there is intent in its action.

The presentation of proposals to the MP2022 awards implies the observance and acceptance of these Rules.
